Valentine's Day Card

In the spirit of Valentine's day, I decided to try my hand at making cards. 

 

To create these cards I used:

• 12"x12" sheets of construction paper
• Various colored felt
• Thread that was three strands thick
• Sewing needle
• Glue Stick
• Letter stamps
• Red ink pad

1. Begin by folding your 12x12" sheet of construction paper into fourths. You will be working on the bottom right hand section of the paper.
2. Then cut out of three different colors of felt nine hearts.
3. Take your needle and thread and sew about three stitches on each heart and tie to make sure they are each secured on the paper. 
4. Once all of the hearts are sewed on, fold the paper back over itself so that the stiching underneath is covered up. Use the glue stick to glue the card together.
5. Take your stamps and another sheet of paper and stamp out the name of the person the card is for and who it is from. 
6. Write a sweet valentine note or poem and you have your own DIY card to send to your sweetheart!
